MAKING A DIFFERENCE.
I STARTED SHOOTING WHEN I WAS JUST A KID. MY DAD THREW CAMERA IN MY HANDS AND FROM THAT DAY FORWARD I LEARNED TO CAPTURE THINGS THAT INSPIRE AND MAKE YOU WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. LOOKING FOR MORE EXPERIENCE IN DOCUMENTARY WORK, I WANT TO BRING IMPORTANT EVENTS AND SURFACE THE TRUTH FOR THE BETTER OF EVERYONE.
MY FATHER ALWAYS STRESSED THE IMPORTANCE OF TELLING A STORY THROUGH IMAGERY, AND THAT HAS AND WILL ALWAYS BE MY PHILOSOPHY: TO TELL THE STORIES OF PEOPLE AND PLACES, ONE FRAME AT A TIME.

This is some of the footage of the places and people I have worked with in the past year. It stands as a perfect example of the content I am ready to produce.
My story
My story begins before I was born, my father Van Neely, born in 1953, built a passion for Photography through the years living in the central valley of California, taking trips to Yosemite, Santa Cruz, Big Sur, to continue learning the tricks and trades of imagery. In 1980 Van and Debbie built the Studio, a place that all three of his children couldn't get enough of, creating the environment of Photography that we followed. Now as of 2018, all three of Van and Debbie's children continue in the path of imagery. I choose the path of Cinematography, not as just a job, but as a true passion for the work I create. A camera has been in my hands ever since I could walk, I remember going on jobs with my dad, with an old 35mm Vivitar, learning the fundamentals of photography at a very young age making this career more of way of life.
Story telling is definilty something that I am passionate about but most importantly non-fiction. Getting out into the world capturing true stories and building imagery to make a difference in our communities and possibly even countries. This world is definitely in a turning point from humankind mistreating it for centuries and we are now seeing the problems once only talked about as a slight chance. With the next 10 years, scientists tell us there will be major changes to the climate such as glacier loss as a whole, sea level rise, and more intense weather patterns. All which we are seeing now.
I am a believer, because I have opened my eyes and see the places I hold most dear fall apart and wither away. My next project has to do with the most important story I believe we face as a race. The story of us as a planet turning a page and picking up the mess we made. Looking to make a difference and need all the help I can get.
